I love this photo, Belinda. Seeing bees going about their work always makes me happy. Likewise, I haven’t seen as many insects this year, either. Most worrisome is the lack of moths, no June bugs, either. However, there seems to be a stable population of bumblebees (I do live near forests where they overwinter), some solitary bees and hoverflies, and the nighttime sounds of crickets and katydids sound greater than last year. Lots of fireflies earlier, too. A mixed bag of survivors.

Thank you, Eliza! It is worrisome. Bees galore but not much else. Hopefully it’s just an off year 😏

We would be in trouble without our bees.

We are beginning to see bees around now that the weather is slowly warming up. Yours is a wonderful photograph of one!

That’s a beautiful capture, Belinda! 😊 The bee has a delicate job of work with those tiny blooms.
