I enjoy these architectural details. This natural motif is one of a collection that is featured at the top of the dormer windows of the Confederation Building, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
There’s a guy on my Mastodon feed that photographs and shares details from Glasgow buildings, fabulous, so overlooked, especially these days. https://mastodon.scot/@thisismyglasgow
Yes, there’s not a lot of artwork these days. I think it’s especially nice when you have the curvy lines of the artist in contrast with the straight geometric lines of traditional architecture.

It is Belinda, it has always been the busier, shopping type city but so much history there too.

This is a lovely photograph – more’s the pity that such details no longer adorn modern buildings!

Thank you. It is a shame, there’s nothing very interesting about them.

There are many to appreciate on the older government buildings here.

I love the fine details of the piece but wonder why the animal isn’t placed between the trees equally spaced. That’s just me… 🤭

Ask the artist I suppose. Like Anneli said, there isn’t a lot of real art these days as so many structures and more have taken on straight lines.

I think so, something modern architecture lacks.
