We’ve seen a good number of grackles this year. I enjoy watching them, they’re always striding around looking busy and a bit put out 😏

Blackbirds in general seem to be in decline here, so it is nice to hear you are seeing more than usual.

Their eyes and their glossy feathers are trademarks for grackles.

That’s such a great way to describe them – “striding around looking busy and a bit put out.” They feel they’re not getting the respect they deserve. 😉 Good pictures of these colourful, loud birds!
