
This is the first of several photos I took of a chipping sparrow. The star of the show is this very young bird who appears to be taking his first walk with Dad; actually he hopped ๐.ย You never know what you’ll see on a walk in the neighbourhood!

Oh dear, that chick is way to young to be out of the nest, it’s feathers are only just starting to split. Not good.

It might have fallen out of the nest. He had a protective grouping of adult birds around him, hopefully he survives.

It’s always so good to see chicks. I hope he makes it. They have such a dangerous time ahead of them until they grow up and get their “tree” smarts.
