STOPS ALONG THE WAY

Young Wood Duck

We passed a wood duck and her young along the path. When I looked behind me about five young ducks seemed to be following me very closely for quite a distance. I was tempted to turn around and lead them back to their mother but in the end I didn’t have to as they decided to do that themselves. 😏

How fun that must’ve been to have them following you! Wood Ducks are so beautiful. We’ve had them here every year, but I didn’t see any this past season.

That’s a lovely picture, Belinda. 😊 I’m glad to hear the little ones found their way back to mama.

How sweet! I’d want to go back too, but mamma was probably close by, in the bushes. I’d probably get pecked, lol… hugs
