BRIGHT SPOT (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

Another grey rainy day. It calls for some colour, so I thought I’d post some butterflies. A bit of summer therapy! Skippers have a short season here but when they make their appearance they’re everywhere. The three on a blade of grass were a perfect example of leading lines, they couldn’t have been more cooperative!

  5. Love the detail! The second photo got my wheels turning. There’s a conversation going on between those skippers. (I didn’t know that’s what they’re called.)

  7. Stunning images, Belinda! Any tips for photographing butterflies? I managed to take a few decent shots of dragonflies (they sit still and are nice enough to return to the same branch) but butterflies are much more finicky.

  9. Beautiful! I love Skippers, and I certainly feel like needing some summer therapy on this grey Saturday morning! Both of these photographs are tops, but I really like the bottom one where the three appear to be playing ‘Follow The Leader’ 🙂
