The early part of October was very mild so the trees have been slow to turn colour although they’re catching up now that the colder weather has arrived. These two photographs were taken mid month as the leaves began to change. As I walk along the trails I look for the sun to direct its light on a solitary leaf or a small grouping as it does in these photos.

My sentiment too. Art is subjective and it’s amazing how little unimportant things can bring life to the eyes.

Great finds in the dappled light! We are not seeing much color here, many leaves seem to be dropping without any change at all.

Thank you, it’s like being on a treasure hunt.
After a mild start to fall we thought the show would be poor but things have picked up lately.

Good treasure! There may be hope for us yet for some color. We have had a major drop in temperatures over the last week, foliage change may be next.
