When I feature more than one photo per post, they usually share a common theme. Although these are two very different subjects, I think they both evoke a feeling of quiet watchfulness. The brick wall backs onto a vacant lot, it’s been empty for years. So far developers have shown no interest, just the wildflowers.

I love when wildflowers find a home to showcase their beauty as in your last image, Belinda!

Watchfulness and a neighborhood going about its business, hopeful that the vacant lot will stay just that. I like the bike in B&W with the contrast of the shaded edge of the sidewalk.

The neighbourhood doesn’t need another condo tower😏. Thank you Ellen!

I hear you and hope it stays that way! We just found out 70 acres including the woods just behind us is being developed and we are less than happy.

Watchful and waiting … a tale to be told in both. I know I often express that thought; it is because your photographs, such as these, are evocative, akin to the opening page of a discovery!
