STOPS ALONG THE WAY

LADYBUG (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

LadybugAs the end of summer approaches it was nice to see this ladybug. Ladybugs hibernate over winter. Here in Canada, if they hibernate in your garage, it’s said to be a sign of good luck. Many would disagree 😏. The ladybug was racing along the stem and I kept my lens trained on it as it dodged in and out of sight. I hope to see a few more of these insects before the cold weather sets in.

They should be making their autumn appearance here in VA sometime in the next few weeks. I don’t mind them unless they show up in vast numbers. One season about ten years ago, they were so bad they COVERED my entire front porch/front door. It was like a horror story!

I can think of worse things in my garage hibernating. 🙂

You found a nice fat one too! I’ve been painting rocks to look like Ladybugs/Ladybirds and leaving here and there, and one in my yard. I think they bring good luck! 😀🐞

A lot of people don’t like bugs, but everyone loves a ladybug.

Wonderful pics, Belinda. Not as many Ladybugs in our area as there used to be… not nearly as many.
