Mallard 2Most ducks have left our rivers and lakes as the water begins to freeze. A few mallards remain by the open water in a reserve we visit but the majority have left for the season. These photos were taken a month ago when the fall colours were at their height.Mallard

  2. Belinda, I’m always impressed by how you can give the common mallard such a sparkling look.

  4. Hello Belinda,
I do love your Mallard Duck photos especially! If I may say so, I can feel your fondness for these beautiful birds 🙂
In Japan, many ducks decide to spend their winter here, so we are starting to see the increase in ducks (and grebes) in our oceans and ponds. I wish you a very happy and healthy winter holidays season!
