I took this photo early last Spring. The bee was slowly warming up on the lily; the air is still quite cool in the early morning and all insects need a little heat to keep flying.
I saw a bumblebee a couple of days ago and now it’s really cold again, so I’m sure it is shivering someplace, waiting for the sun to come out and warm it up. This one on the photo looks glad to be there, in the sunshine.

What an interesting photograph, with the bee warming up on the flower. We usually see pictures of them visiting open flowers.

Some of best times to photograph a bee is when itโs cool out. They sit still for their close up. ๐

This one has a perfect sun reflector ๐. Too cold for bees here.
