I’ve never seen a monarch feeding so intently before. It would have been nice if it had turned slightly but I caught its beautiful colours and its position added interest.

Lovely shot. The monarch’s colour pattern reminds me of a tiger with the crisp black, white spots and general hue.

It looks as if it’s literally grasping the flower to pull it closer while face-deep into the center feeding. Pretty cool, Belinda, I like it!
