STOPS ALONG THE WAY

SMALL TOWN (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

Small Town.jpg

On a road trip last summer, we stopped in a small town to take a break and look around. We saw this abandoned factory just before we drove into the town centre. These forlorn looking buildings just ask to be photographed. The building in the second photo might have had an occupant, as a lace curtain hung in the bottom window.

  1. These are both very cool subjects! Monochrome was a good choice for the second image.

  2. Great atmospheric photos, Belinda. It makes you wonder what history old places like this once held back in their time.

  3. What a great find! The symmetry in the first with its white reflective windows makes quite a statement.

  5. Sadly, we have building left like this especially in the rural areas. I look at the building in your first photograph and – from the front – cannot help thinking it would make a gracious residential building. If I were a rich man … it is not only money though. One needs people, passing traffic and a sound infrastructure. Lovely to dream though!
