The goldfinch held on tight as the wind buffeted him about. I thought he’d fly off to a more sheltered spot but he held his ground. Lucky me.

That’s a cute image, Belinda, with the bird all puffed up and those curlicues of dried grass! It’s often surprising how much wind these little birds can take.

What a beauty, Belinda!With the stormy weather here which has virtually stripped the autumn leaves from the the trees I am amazed how these small birds live through it!
