Fall is a good time to photograph mushrooms especially if there’s been a lot of rain. As I was walking, I noticed some bracket fungus running along this fallen tree. It almost looked like a border of lace.
Fungus make for mysterious pictures. These ones certainly do have a decorative effect. I like the pun in your header: fall = autumn (I imagine) and fall= the tree fallen down. The alliteration is fun too 🙂

Looks like a lizard with his head at the right end of the log, and the fungus makes a lacy arm pressed tightly to his side.
