Muskrats swim quickly and like to dive, particularly when they have an audience. I saw this one on an early April morning enjoying a solitary swim.

Having just looked up the symbolism for another animal I was curious about the symbolism of muskrats. I believe that unusual animal sightings can be a sign. This is what the internet says:
Muskrats are considered lucky animals, and some folktales include muskrats bestowing wealth or hunting success on humans who treat them respectfully. Some Native Americans also believe that muskrats can predict the weather. Muskrats are also used as clan animals in some Native American cultures.

A sunny day in spring creates a nice effect. The muskrat was certainly taking advantage 😊.
