Damselflies – a sure sign of warm weather. They begin to appear in late spring and remain throughout the summer. Looking at the blue skies and sunshine right now, you can almost imagine it’s warm out, until you step outside that is 😏 .
When I was scrolling through my Reader and came across this wonderful sign of approaching spring, it appeared that I was not “following“ your blog. I’m not sure that happened as I thought I always have been – but I see I missed a few beautiful posts! Hopefully I’m back in business now, Belinda!
Oh yes, greenery and pretty insects! I think I remember those…just. It’s been very cold in the UK recently but I suppose spring will turn up eventually.

Great photo, I’ve only once so far been lucky enough to see some damselflies and be able to catch them on film. They can be so tricky to photograph.

Thank you! With a bit of luck find they re-land in the same spot.

Daylight is increasing in lumens daily, so it is easy to be fooled. Soon, soon the warmth will follow. 🙂

You really do notice the longer days. And half way through February, spring can’t be too far behind!

They do have a beauty of their own, in an alien sort of way.

Bronze and black–what a nice combination. Wishing you warmer weather soon. It was in the low 80s here today.

They do have sporty colours. Given the -20c temps here today, I have the same wish 😏
