Great capture of those quick-beating wings, Belinda. I love seeing these mini-hummers in the garden. This one must have been really ready to emerge from its pupa!

It might be the lighting, but these attractive looking lacy wings seem to be a little undersized for the body. This is a lovely photograph.

There are several kinds of clearwing moths here. I found this moth smaller than others I’ve seen. Always a pleasure to see one. Thank you, Anne.
