STOPS ALONG THE WAY

PURPLE AND WHITE (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

I’ve noticed a lot of violets this year. They’re pretty tenacious and can grow in shade or bright sunlight. As pretty as they are, they can take over a garden. Like many wild flowers/weeds, attractive to some a nuisance to others.

Very pretty, Belinda. I love violets, but limit them to lawn and field edges. They are a bit too prolific to merit a spot in the garden. 🙂

I must get hold of some violets again, perhaps to nurture in a pot until we start getting rain again. The scent of violets is heavenly!
