This was taken in a garden of an old house in the neighbourhood. The garden is left to itself and it’s thriving. It begins the season with a few tulips, then on to lilacs, lilies of the valley and later in the summer, tiger lilies. There are plenty of wild flowers too including these Dame’s-Rockets. A neighbourhood favourite for bees as well.

Wonderful to hear about the flowers in this old garden, Belinda, and a great photo of the Dame’s Rockets.

I don’t know this name, and I’m not sure I know the plant, so I’ve learned something today. I like those natural settings of flowers that are often called weeds, but have a beauty of their own.

They grow in fields, along roadsides and gardens like these. Another flower I look forward to seeing.

I like that about weeds, that they are also pretty, even if we don’t plant them on purpose. (Queen Anne’s lace, for example).

Weed or flower, often a matter of perspective 😏
