The first flower peeked out of the long grass, its stem bent by a recent rain. I thought the shadow added interest to the tiny flower below.

What pretty flowers to come across. The second one looks similar to a calendula (based on my blossoms which are rather smaller than usual this winter). I like the addition of the shadow, which adds depth to the picture as well as substance to the flower.
