I’ve only seen them on their fall migration south. They breed in Western Canada and only stopover here briefly. I agree, they are gorgeous!

A beautifully composed shot. I tend to make the mistake of not allowing much of the context – the rippling reflections here add much to the atmosphere of the picture. I learn a lot from you.
