Wood Ducks are the most colourful ducks we see in this area. A few have been spotted here this spring. They return to breed and remain until the temperatures dip. I took these photos several years back.

Very nice captures, Belinda! Krikitarts nailed it when she identified that first one as having intimacy, and the second I can feel them plowing right towards me.

Nice closeup, and a good shot of the pair. Funny how, with birds, it’s the male who gets all dressed up. Just the opposite of how it is with people.
