I took this Black-crowned Night Heron one day in May a few years ago. We’re having snow showers today. The early spring migrants must be wondering what’s up with this weather 😏
It’s a crazy cold, dragging-on kind of winter. No wonder you have to look in your archives. It’s a good thing you have such lovely photos hidden in them.
A handsome Heron indeed! It snowed here over the week-end but is supposed to be sunny today. Winter doesn’t want to let go this year does it. Stay warm!

I really enjoyed studying this black-crowned night heron, Belinda, in this setting of beauty. The clarity is especially sharp and wonderful.

Thank you very much, Jet. The cloudy conditions made for a nice softbox effect.

I think so too, thank you Deborah!
If summer runs on longer to make up for it, I can put up with the cold 😏
