Lovely family photo Belinda! You would think it was still winter down here too – one week we had two days over 30 deg C, the next week there was snow on the mountain! Yesterday early afternoon it was 27, then 11 and torrential rain by 3pm. Crazy stuff.

They look chilly! Does the river freeze over completely, or are there open spots for them all winter?

There is open water along the shoreline of the river where some of the mallards remain all winter. Brave ducks! ❄️

Glad you enjoyed it! The weather is certainly unpredictable. Winter is pretty mild so far(by our standards). Although that’s all about to change ❄️

Most Canada Geese are now heading south, though some mallards will remain thru the winter.
