It’s a great shot. Around here the Wood Ducks are shy. The most common duck in the Lowcountry, and the hardest to photo LOL

They’re here from spring to fall; not as exuberant as the mallards but still pretty sociable 😊

I read that because wildlife has less and less space and animals that didn’t used to run into each other are doing so more frequently. I imagine that many will become friends like they do in zoos.

These water birds always seem to have got along. Given that so much wildlife is affected by habitat loss, let’s hope they adapt to each other.

Swans are notoriously unneighborly and chase off any other birds on a pond. They need to learn tolerance 🙂
