A pretty slaty blue. Hope you’ll find more as we head into fall.
We get the big pond hawks which cruise over our backyard eating mosquitoes (yay), but they never seem to rest on anything.

Dragon and damselflies sure are fun to photograph … I haven’t done that in a long time! Nice shot with that soft green background.

Not like these blue ones, there are some large, much darker flies with four wings. They are fun to watch!

They’re formidable hunters too, often catching their prey in mid-air.

Though we are many thousands of miles apart it has also been quite poor for dragons in my part of the world too.

Habitat loss and pollution are effecting their populations everywhere.
