I took this at a nearby conservation area I should visit more often. A boardwalk winds its way through this section of the popular reserve but looking out it feels like you’re the only one there.

It’s nice not to see a single house or other sign of civilization here even though I’m sure it’s close enough.

The reserve stretches over 33 kilometres, not a house in sight.

When I think of Canada, this is what I see in my mind… the boreal forest. Guardians of the planet! 🌲🌲

We’re so very fortunate! Almost 60% of the country is covered by boreal forest.
