One in a group of Lesser Scaups we saw at the very beginning of last month. They are known to breed in the west of the country and in smaller numbers in eastern Canada.
I was joking about the blue lips but thanks for the reminder of its other name (bluebill). I think you had a typo there that turned it into a fish (bluegill).

Pretty bird 😁. Another of those we no longer see. One of those trade offs when moving south.
Another trade off is at 7:20 AM it is almost 80 degrees and 100% humidity. 😵💫.
