The car in the distance has its car lights on, (I took this at 1:30 pm π).

Winter begins in three weeks, yet shovels and snow blowers are getting an early start. Typical Canadian weather.

Dealing with that here now as well – I probably should have stayed in Florida ha.

Oh Belinda!! this made me smile instantly.
A car with headlights on at 1:30 pmβ¦ thatβs peak Canada energy right there. π
Itβs funny how winter in Canada never really βarrivesβ β it just slowly creeps in like,
βSurprise, Iβm early. Again.β
And honestly?
Seeing shovels and snow blowers warming up three weeks ahead⦠it feels like the whole neighbourhood is whispering,
βBrace yourself, buddy.β
Thereβs something oddly comforting about it though β that shared preparation,
that quiet understanding Canadians have with their weather.
Do you kind of love that unpredictability, or does it drive you nuts on days like this?

Well, one could always forego it and just shovel. Been doing a lot of that lately.

Right before we left the north I gave away my snow blower, Iβll never forget the glorious sight of it driving away in the back of a pickup.

It isnβt too cold, really. I didnβt alter the colour, these are as shot.

Oh, not a b/w then? I was looking for any sign of colour on the people’s clothing or on the vehicles.

Want some of our rain? π
Your photos are beautiful, Belinda. Youβve really captured the essence of a winter day with the monotonal form and bare branches. Iβm thinking that sound was probably muffled, too.
