These seed heads could have easily featured in a classic science fiction movie 😊. I believe they are the seed heads of the Pasqueflower and a member of the buttercup family.

I actually preferred the 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers over the 1978 remake. The original had a hopeful ending that humans could defeat the alien spores.
Or, in the 1967 Star Trek episode “This Side of Paradise”, alien spores possess the landing party. Spock actually becomes human and falls in love. You’ll have to watch the episode to see how it ends.
