Do you pick them up and blow the seeds on their way? I remember doing that as a kid, much to the chagrin of my parents.

Somewhat bittersweet on summer ending, miss the lond days, but around here, birding is pointless during the midsummer heat.

Regret for you is countered by a sense of joy for us as the days lengthen and get warmer!

We are quite happy that summer comes to it’s end. We are nordic and winter people. For us, we had too much sunshine in the last weeks.

A lovely photo, Belinda. Oh yes, summer is definitely slipping away. Of course, this time, given our conditions, I’m happy to say so long.

I love Autumn, but hate letting go of Summer’s long days and warmth.
Beautiful words, like poetry you wrote for today’s image, Belinda.

In a way, after the heat, it’s a bit of a relief to know fall is coming, but there are summery things we’ll miss for sure.
