Although we’re just one day into the official start of summer, the season moves along far too quickly. I think I found one of the last of the poppies putting on a nice show.

Hi Belinda
Several generations of poppies have finished flowering here, and new ones have taken their place. We think we’ll be able to enjoy the sight of blooming poppies for at least another month.

I’m not sure what variety they are but they are more so than the other poppies we see here.

That’s a pretty colour for a poppy. Usually the only yellowish-orange ones we get are the California poppies, but they have a different shape.
