I was so happy to see some butterflies in our backyard this season because last summer I was so worried that I didn’t see any! This changing weather affects the entire ecosystem, unfortunately..
That’s a beautiful capture, Belinda. I haven’t seen many either. Usually the rhododendrons when they bloom are covered in bees but this year I only saw a few buzzing around. I’ve lately seen one or two at a time but only occasionally.

Not a lot of pollinators here, either.

It is reassuring to see these familiar insects but climate change is definitely taking its toll.

I decided I’d try to capture an image of each different Bee is spotted. Then I changed my mind 🤔🤣🤯

Yay! It’s always nice to see them buzzing around. The pink flower has lovely shades of pink.

Same thing here. Not as many bees, and not as many birds.

We went to a spot by the river where we usually see a few egrets and herons, none so far. Fortunately, the smaller birds seem to be well represented.

Thank you, Lynette. It is worrying. I’ve seen few insects of any kind, including flies 😏
