There were a lot of mallards settled under the trees as we walked along the path at our local reserve. We’re experiencing very high temperatures right now and shady spots are at a premium.

She was not giving up that spot 😁. The temperatures have certainly gone up a notch, everywhere. Yesterday afternoon there was nothing moving behind our house. We live in this heat/humidity environment but it was too much for here also. The family in Maine might as well have been down here last night. The heat never left…all night.
