    Interesting to see this heron. I notice it has the same 2 white feathers from it’s ‘neck’ as our Nankeen Night Herons here in Australia.

    The long, tassel-like feathers on the back of this bird are fascinating, it really makes me wonder how it evolved to display them such. Nice shot.

    This is such a beautiful photo Belinda! I have never seen a black-crowned night heron, but I hear that they are very shy and hard to get a clear shot. Not so with yours! Amazing!
