Frogs make excellent subjects, on land or in the water. Sometimes they blend in so well that you might only notice one if it jumps and catches your eye. The Leopard Frog in the first photo, didn’t make any sudden moves, I only noticed it when I was trying to track the flight of an insect. The second photo was taken before a recent rain, when these green frogs were easier to spot because the water was so shallow. I like the spider “tattoo” on its cheek.

We don’t see many frogs around here so I love seeing others photos! Nice shots Belinda. 🙂

Beautiful photos. We have lots of frogs in our pond, but they are impossible to photograph, they always sit on the sunny side and in order for me to take a good photo I need to get to the far side and that means crunching on stone and brushing against old trees – off course by the time I get in position they have long since disappeared, deep into the cool water!

Thank you. They can be tricky but wonderful when you manage to capture them!

Fabulous photos Belinda! The colours and the patterns of this frog are amazing. You even have what looks like a spider on the frog’s face on the bottom image.

Great images, I was going to share your post on my Twitter but couldn’t see that option. Not a problem but thought I’d let you know in case you wanted to go down that route. Great work!
