I took this photograph last August. We haven’t had as many opportunities to visit our favourite reserve this summer and the birds are keeping themselves scarce when we do go. Last year was a good year so old friends are putting in an appearance.
The beauty of photography. There is no time limit. At one point I found myself in the ‘ what have I done lately’ trap. I now try to go back at times to look at, and publish, the portrait or black and whites that have held aside, and promptly forgotten.

Nice composition and clarity. The smoothness and colors in the Green Heron’s feathers make them interesting to photograph.

Thank you. Yes they are, I also like their slow and methodical fishing style, providing many photo opportunities.

He’s beautiful. Those big leaves (lily pads?) add a nice touch to the photo.
