PAINTED TURTLES (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

I always associate painted turtles with lazy summer afternoons. They are either basking in the sun or going for a quiet swim. You feel yourself slowing down in their company. No better way than that to enjoy summer!

  3. These remind me so much of the pet red-eared turtles I had as a child. Beautiful markings.

  4. Nicely composed shots, Belinda! The mossy covered logs in both shots are the perfect props for the turtles.

  5. The upper image is very striking. There are all the amorphous greens of the water, and then that emergent mass coming straight down the left hand third towards the camera >>> and the turtle, with its head up threateningly, (appearing to be) charging down it towards us. Wonderful photo!
