The fungi and vine on the tree trunk formed a very pleasing arrangement. Nature’s artistry. The bark of the tree added texture and detail.

The reserve where this was taken is pretty much left to itself. When trees die they break down and feed the forest floor, as well as insects, which in turn feed the birds. They also play host to fungi and lichen. Nothing wasted here.
