I took these photos from a floating bridge.I was using a long lens, the duck was close by and I couldn’t put much distance between me and the duck.I would have liked more but you can’t really go wrong with a subject like this.
Beautiful close up pics. I never used to think of hen mallards as particularly pretty, but since I’ve seen your many photos of them, I’ve changed my mind and now appreciate their brand of beauty. And no, the Like section is not available to me on your posts.
Thank you, Anneli. I think when we take things a bit slower we see and appreciate things we might otherwise pass by.
I’ll contact WordPress and see what they say about the “Like” business.

Two pretty captures, Belinda!
(I’ve noticed with your last few posts, I’m not able to ‘like’ them…..but I do!)

For a few days I couldn’t bring up my notifications either. But I was able to get the Ike button on other blogs.

Att first sight they just look brown, but when you get close enough you realize that every fether is unique.

It’s an underrated duck which many just pass by. I find them pretty special.
