Now that the weather has turned cold, I hope this chipmunk remembers where he has hidden the food he was busy collecting. It’s going to be a long winter.

Nice shot! For some reason there was an eruption of those little critters around our house this year- they have an entire forest to play in and they still keep tearing into our landscaping. Cute as can be…just wish they were not so destructive.

Thank, Ellen! It seems they hibernate but unlike bears wake up occasionally for a bite. I hope his stash is in a tree.
