The old house that once stood on this lot was torn down many years ago. The land hasn’t been developed and is enclosed by a mesh fence which I shot through. I was struck by the sunflowers standing tall. They continue to flower and give pleasure to anyone that passes by.

Resilient sunflowers, hopefully they will continue to reseed. Interesting lineup of fencing behind the sunflowers, especially that taller red fence.

This untended, abandoned garden would make a fascinating study in regeneration. Apart from the beautiful sunflowers, it looks as though there are a variety of other flowering plants there too. Some of them must be indigenous.

Yes it would. It would have been nice to get a closer look at it. I did see a lot of Queen Anne’s Lace and cabbage white butterflies making the rounds.
