Thanks for the morning smile, Belinda! This reminds me of all the school field trips I went on with my kids, I was a good end-of-the-line mom to keep that last straggling kid up with the line! ๐
Our ducks and geese always seem to have one “straggler.” I assume it is usually dad who is bringing up the rear, making sure “junior” is within range and eventually gets back in line behind mom. Cute picture.
This photo gave me a big smile for its sweetness, Belinda. I like the mother, the line of ducklings, the last duckling out of line and the tiny cheerful flowers.

Isn’t that typical of children

Cute capture, Belinda, and I like how the daisies and yellow flowers brighten the scene.

So true. One always lags behind or must go exploring on their own…..just like children!

Thanks! It is fun to watch them.
The female mallard is on her own to raise her chicks; male geese help in the raising of their young.

They’re so vulnerable at this stage! I hope they make it. Nice photo.
