Canada Geese are on the move. We see and hear them overhead flying in V formations. With the weather getting colder it won’t be long before scenes like this will be over for the year.
Beautiful capture of the geese floating with the lily pads! We are seeing more around, with small groups in fields and around ponds where some locals spend the summer. I’ve never seen or heard a big V of them passing over in this area (SC) –I’ve wondered how these few stray from the big flocks.

Thanks very much, Ellen! We see more and more of them heading out. Their formations are something to see.

I’m seeing the Vs every day! We have residents year-round but when the migrating flocks fly over, we for sure hear them, chattering in unison!

They must know frost is coming! I heard several flocks today, most really high up, which I guess means they are in a hurry. 😉

We’ll be getting a little break in the weather, I hope a few hang around a bit longer.

They look so peaceful, a lovely photo, Belinda. I heard more Canada Geese overhead a couple of days ago. They are heading for warmer climes!

I heard more geese fly over my home this morning! Hitch that ride, it’ll be in the 70s this week. 😂

Canada Geese can be serene or very ornery.

Some of ours overwinter but most of them leave. Lately I’ve seen them gathering and it’s clear they’re getting ready. Lovely picture, Belinda. 😊

I hate to see them leave, it means winter is inching closer 😏 Thank you, Lynette!
