STOPS ALONG THE WAY

Sharing the Sun

While exploring a new neighbourhood, the street we were on suddenly came to an end on the edge of a small wildlife garden.  This rather whimsical looking plant, commonly known as prairie smoke or old man’s whiskers was sharing the sun with some other native plants.

Lovely composition, Belinda. There’s movement in the prairie smoke, giving the illusion of a strong breeze blowing.

Prairie Smoke is a beautiful plant. Just wish it didn’t have such a short blooming time.

Prairie smoke seems to be an apt name for these interesting looking plants.
