It’s been snowing all day, nature has a way of decorating a tree just right! The red topped sticks you see mark the path to be cleared when (if) it stops snowing 😒

As sunset approaches the sun makes a dramatic appearance in the sky.

I wish were getting some of your snow. So far it’s been a rather dry Autumn here. It looks beautiful there.

It is pretty but it does make winter stretch on ( and it’s actually still fall 😒).

It is! #1 Grandson won’t let us forget that it’s still Fall as his birthday falls when it’s technically Fall not winter. 😊

Wow! You definitely have some snow! When there are markers so that the snowploughs can clear properly then you have (or are expecting) quite a lot. That bit of sun coming through is always so precious at this time of year.

And Environment Canada had forecast a milder winter earlier in the fall 😒. A glimpse of sun is always welcome!

I sometimes think they must be high when they come up with this stuff … 😉

I hesitate to write this but, we have a cold snap starting tomorrow that will be very cold. I must remember to have each faucet drip water over night. Pipe insulation, and even in walls is not up to this kind of cold. I’m lucky my house is pretty tight.

Maybe the forecast will be wrong. Weather like that must be tough on the local wildlife.

Hard weather is tough on them. For some it’s a call to head south, quickly. The good news is we are fairly near to Florida where it’s usually warmer. The end of our winter is the worst for them. If we get a late cold spell, say February, the bigger birds have already started to nest and they stop. Last year that happened, the Great Blues stopped, but when they came back the big Egrets owned all the rookeries. Not many Herons stayed here.

I see a hint of blue sky in your photo.
The snow picture is pretty, but I worry about the birds when everything is covered with snow.

The sky went from grey to hints of colour all day long. The small birds seem to manage, there are a lot of feeders in the neighbourhood.

That’s good about the feeders.
