Breaking the Rules

I didn’t crop the photo because I wanted to keep all of the background. No rule of thirds here although the flower isn’t quite centred. I only noticed the aphids on the flower’s stem when I imported the photo. A lot of aphids but no ladybugs  😏

Isn’t it funny, as we are taking the photo, that we often don’t notice some of the details? It keeps the image honest and makes it interesting 🙂

Sometimes it’s good to break some rules. And as you said, you see things you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. By having the background out of focus it gives a sense of distance in the photo.

I like keeping the background in the photo too. It’s a lovely photo, Belinda. 😊
