STOPS ALONG THE WAY

  1. This shot evoked a lot of commentary. That’s storytelling photo art.
A magnificent symbolism struck me. Within there is a trinity, perhaps best described as “foundations”.
At the base (and extending out of frame, its own symbolism) there is a solid concrete retaining wall.
Resting on it a pair of boots, which are in essence a man’s foundation so-to-speak, when walking.
Above it, the boots nearly lean on a tree trunk. Another foundation and contact with the Earth.
One might see further symbolism in the fact that they are all three neglected, discarded, marred or maimed.
    Well done, Belinda!

  4. It’s inspiring to me to try to figure out why something was done, what was going on in someone’s life.

  5. I know what you mean. This picture makes me think. The scene does have a little positivity in it. I’m much more melancholy when I see only one abandoned shoe…
