I stopped to chat with a neighbour the other day and asked her if she had seen many bees in her garden. Not too many, she said but plenty of rabbits. On our walk today we came across this young cottontail who seemed to be enjoying the flowers. I wished it had turned in my direction but it still gave me some good photo opportunities.

Oh that’s so sweet where he’s sniffing the flower. No, wait! He’s eating it!

A little cottontail! How lovely, Belinda. Nice photos of this little one. A bit concerning to hear that your neighbour hasn’t seen many bees, either.

Thank you, Lynette! It is worrying about the scarcity of bees. Are you finding it the same?

I’ve seen a few but really not many since the rhododendrons bloomed in early April and they were busy collecting from them.

What a cutie! We don’t see as many as we used to, maybe our dog keeps them away?

So sweet! I hope it grows up fast though, it knew we were there but didn’t run off. They’re a lot of ravens in the neighbourhood.
